de Burdigalia: Old latin name for Bordeaux; name means "of Bordeaux". The Roman Catholic diocese is still referred to as Burdigalia. Much of the evidence for it's use in Period comes from the Itinerarium Burdigalense.

4: Richard Larmer -New Augmentation of Arms

OSCAR finds the name registered exactly as it appears in April of 1991, via the Middle.
