Possible conflict with...

Eldon Ungol of the Phoenix The following device associated with this name was registered in March of 1982 (via Atlantia): Azure, in pale a phoenix Or and a triple-towered castle within a bordure embattled argent.

1 DC for the Phoenix vs the 3 Estoilles, But the Tower vs the Castle is a concern. attached is the potential conflict visual image. Please clarify if you find a precedent I missed.

Eldon currently resides in the Barony of Darkwater in Trimaris.

We've got two DCS already even without worrying about the castle vs. tower issue:

SENA: "Multiple distinct changes (DCs) may be derived from multiple types of changes to a single charge group"

1st DC: Type of charge - phoenix vs. estoiles

2nd DC: Number of charges - three vs. one

This item says that it follows the pattern of "Order of <Saint> + <Object>", but also includes the locative of the group afterward. The 3rd item on this LoI has a similar name and does not include the locative. Was this on purpose or is there an error on one of the items?

Collyne Greymoire (Lymphad) at 2015-08-08 15:21:11
I believe the locative was added to this submission to get past a possible conflict. It was not needed for the other.

Looks OK.

No conflicts found. Seems odd to see this bridge on dry land next to the water while the castle in item 3 below is issuant from it.

Typo: :…a two-towered castle argent…" I believe that the default castle has two towers, so that may be omitted from the blazon. No conflicts found.

4: Castlemere, Barony of -New Order Name & New Badge

Order of the Defenders of the Northern Fenn

Vert, an arm armored and embowed maintaining a sword fesswise argent issuant from a ford proper.

Fenn: "low land covered wholly or partly by water," Old English fenn "mud, mire, dirt; fen, marsh, moor," from Proto-Germanic *fanjam- "swamp, marsh" (cognates: Old Saxon feni, Old Frisian fenne, Middle Dutch venne, Dutch veen, Old High German fenna, German Fenn "marsh," Old Norse fen, Gothic fani "mud"), from PIE *pen- "swamp" (cognates: Gaulish anam "water," Sanskrit pankah "bog, marsh, mud," Old Prussian pannean "swampland"). Italian and Spanish fango, Old French fanc, French fange "mud" are loan-words from Germanic. The native Latin word was limus or lutum. http://www.etymonline.com

According to the PicDic entry for "arm", "embowed" is not necessary here, but isn't incorrect. No conflicts found.
