To Saito Takauji Gold Falcon and the esteemed members of the College of Heralds comes this missive from Dorcas Whitecap, Eyas. I seek your wise counsel on the following submissions, to prepare them for registration. These were submitted at The Tournament of Horse & Falcons, the last weekend of May. I'd like to process them before the Lilies submissions come in.

1: Charles Vaux -New Name

Submitter desires a masculine name.
Spelling (Vaux) most important.

Charles - Withycombe, p. 62, s.n. Charles, dates the submitted spelling, Charles, to 1273.

Academy of St. Gabriel Report #1165 (http://www.s-gabriel.org/1165) states that <Vaux> is an Anglo-Norman surname with citations from the 15th and 16th c. Reany & Wilson snn. <Vaus, Vause, Vaux> gives a 1086 Domesday Book <Robert de Vaux> (Essex) and 1522 <Nicholas Vaux> (also Essex). R&W says the name derives from <Vaux>, a common French place-name, plural of val, Lat vallis 'valley'.

2: Eilína Knútsdóttir -New Name

Submitter desires a feminine name.
Culture (Old Norse) most important.

3: Nikita Pavlovich -New Name
