Apologies for the late letter. I am feeling better now.

The following items are presented for commentary in January 2019:

1: Adam Macleod -New Name & New Device

Per saltire azure and vert, a mullet sable fimbriated argent between four annulets in cross Or

Submitter desires a masculine name.

The submitter's branch is Drumm Doineann.

<Adam> is found 30 times with this spelling at http://www.ellipsis.cx/~liana/names/scots/dost/adam.html.

<Macleod> is found in Reaney & Wilson s.n. MacLeod dated 1227.

The device is missing payment. It is presented for commentary to identify further issues in case payment is not received and it must be returned.


2: Adriana the Fierce -New Badge

OSCAR finds the name registered exactly as it appears in September of 1993, via An Tir.

The submitter's branch is Port de l'Eau.


3: Adriana the Fierce -New Blanket Permission to Conflict

OSCAR finds the name registered exactly as it appears in September of 1993, via An Tir.

I, [name redacted], known in the SCA as Adrianna the Fierce, waive the full protection of my registered armorial badge "Gules, a chevron argent." I grant permission to any future submitter to register armory that is not identical to my registered armory. I understand this permission can be withdrawn by written notice to the Laurel Sovereign of Arms, but that conflicting items registered while it is in force will remain registered.

This submission is to be associated with An Tir Apothecary Guild

The submitter provided the attached documentation showing this style of mortar and pestle as a period artifact.

5: Asher der Jäger -Resub Device

OSCAR thinks the name is registered as Asher der J?ger in November of 1999, via the Outlands.

The submitter's previous device was returned by An Tir for use of a "cross alisee" which is not a permitted form of cross. This resubmission has changed the cross alisee to a cross formy.

The submitter has a letter of permission to conflict with Biringeira de Vasconçellos as follows:

I, [name redacted], known in the SCA as Biringeira de Vasconçellos, give [name redacted], known in the SCA as Enzio Bandinelli, permission for his armoury "Per pale wavy gules and argent" to look similar to, but not identical to, my armoury, "Per pale urdy gules and argent, a bordure counterermine". I understand that this permission cannot be withdrawn once Enzio Bandinelli's armoury is registered.

It is signed with Biringeira's legal signature and dated 25 May 2018.
