Greetings from Marta as tu Mika-Mysliwy, Brickbat Herald and Parhelium Herald for the Kingdom of Atenveldt!

The Atenveldt College of Heralds requests the consideration and registration of the following armory with the College of

Arms. Unless specifically stated, the client will accept any spelling and grammar corrections; all assistance is appreciated.

1: Canaan Falconer - New Alternate Name (NP)

OSCAR finds the name registered exactly as it appears in June of 2017, via Atenveldt.

Catrina Falconer

Submitter desires a feminine name.

Catrina is found in "A List of Feminine Personal Names Found in Scottish Records: Post-1400 Names" by Talan Gwynek (Brian M. Scott, [email protected]) dated to 1551 "Catrina 1551 [CARSTAIRS, 140]". (https://heraldry.sca.org/names/scottishfem.html)

Falconer is the client's byname in the originally-registered name and is being used in this new submission. The name being submitted is an alternate name for "Cannan Falconer" whose name was registered in June of 2017 (via Atenveldt). The submitter is permitted this byname per the Existing Registration Allowance, SENA PN1.B.2.g.

2: Isolde Wolstenholme - New Name (NP) & New Device

Argent, a squirrel gules maintaining an apple vert.

Submitter desires a feminine name.
No major changes.
Client requests authenticity for time period (but none given).
Sound most important.

Isolde is an English feminine given name, one of the many forms of the Isolda names. Withycombe dates this spelling to the 15th C. (3rd edition, pp. 166-7 s.n. Isolda).

Isolde is also found as a feminine given name in the FamilySearch Historical Records: Isolde Benford 24 Jul 1559 Fareham,Hampshire,England Number: M06306-2

Wolstenholme can be dated to James Wolstenholme, burial 16 August 1575 in Dronfield, Dronfield, Holmesfield, Dore, Derbyshire, England (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KB8Y-8RC), from Wolstenholme in Rochdale (Reaney and Wilson, revised edition, pp. 498-499).

Considering the badge for Eleanor Bywater (registered January 2022), A squirrel gules maintaining an acorn slipped and leaved proper., there is a difference for the field and a difference for the addition of the maintained/secondary charge.

3: Twin Moons, Barony of - New Heraldic Title

OSCAR finds the name registered exactly as it appears in April of 1993, via Atenveldt.

Moonbeam Pursuivant

No major changes.
Meaning most important.

Moonbeam is a ray of moonlight, according to the OED. Its earliest usage is in 1535 in Trevisa's Bartholomeus De Proprietatibus Rerum, "On the Property of Things" (https://www.jstor.org/stable/30227786).

The title was originally proposed by the first baronial herald of Twin Moons, Angela Sara Maria Diaz de Valdez, about 30 years ago, but it was never registered for reasons now lost to the mists of time. The title has been used by subsequent pusuivants, but until recently it had not been identified as unregistered.
