The name is Welsh. Dafydd is the Welsh form of the male given name David, Morgan & Morgan, p. 82, dates Dafydd between 1300 and 1425, citing the genealogies of Bartrum. Dafydd is also found in "Snapshot of a Cantref: The Names and Naming Practices in a Mawddwy Court Roll of 1415-16" (http://www.heatherrosejones.com/names/welsh/mawddwy1415.html).
y Crwydryn is "the wanderer," found in Gweiadur, the Welsh-English Dictionary (https://www.gweiadur.com/welsh-dictionary/%24crwydryn).
I don't know if the article y is needed in the name.
OSCAR finds the name registered exactly as it appears in January of 2016, via Atenveldt.
