No conflicts found for device during commentary. Original blazon, Sable, a sword inverted argent entwined of a rose vine Or with five double roses argent and azure, was changed at Kingdom. It was changed to indicate that the rose vine was confined to the blade of the sword, and to specify its status as a maintained charge.

Commenters raised the issue of a possible color-on-color tincture violation, which should be a non-issue, as it is a maintained charge which is primarily on the field, providing good metal-on-color contrast. There was also a question regarding whether the number or orientation of the roses could, or even needed, to be added to the blazon. It was decided to leave it in the blazon for the time being.

Device redrawn at Kingdom with submitter permission. The field division of the orignial emblazon was too shallow, and the candle was too small to be considered a co-primary charge. Additionally, the original blazon read that the candle was lit proper, when it was, in fact, lit Or fimbriated gules, which has been disallowed for many years.

Original blazon, Per chevron inverted argent and azure, in pale a candle azure lit proper and an open bool argent, was changed at Kingdom to fix a typo and account for the changed tincture of the candle's flame.

Device redrawn at Kingdom with submitter permission. The original emblazon depicted the cat slightly overlapping the top of the anvil; devices with similar artistic details have been returned in the past, so the device was redrawn with the cat atop, but not overlapping, the anvil. Original artwork is included below.

The original blazon, Argent, an anvil maintaining a cat couchant between three smith's hammers two and one sable, was changed at Kingdom. Tsaatan -

*****

Name document checked and confirmed. Added omitted information showing submitter requested authenticity. No conflicts found during commentary.

Name changed at Kingdom with submitter's permission from "Temuge Tsaatan", following the construction guidelines laid out in the supplemental documentation, to conform to the submitter's authenticity request.

One particularly helpful piece of commentary, provided by Michael Gerard Curtememoire, included below.

The cited source, whose URL should be given, viz., http://heraldry.sca.org/names/mongolian_names_marta.html, notes in a paragraph discussing "clan and tribal associations" The simple "modifier + given name" combination ... is an accurate method of forming a period Mongolian name ...

But http://heraldry.sca.org/loar/2017/01/17-01lar.html#188, Subudei Sukeken, declares "The unmodified name of a tribe cannot be used to form a byname in Mongolian"

Ursula Georges, in "Middle Mongol Grammar for SCA Names" at http://heraldry.sca.org/names/mongolgrammar.html#wordorder tells us the most frequent construction uses a tribe or clan name in the genitive ... Tribe name + genitive suffix + name

and at http://heraldry.sca.org/names/mongolgrammar.html#genitive indicates the form should be Tsaatanu or Tsaatannu, apparently in free variation.

I therefore believe submitter should choose Tsaatanu Temuge or Tsaatannu Temuge.
