Greetings I send, Estelle Rouge Scarpe, unto Juliana Laurel, Alys Pelican, and Cormac Wreath, and the entire College of Herald. Here follows is the Midrealm Letter of Acceptances and Returns for the Internal Letter of Intent dated February 28th, 2018. It is our desire that these submissions be considered for registration with the SCA College of Arms.

1: Cleftlands, Barony of the - New Order Name & New Badge

OSCAR is unable to find the name, either registered or submitted.

Azure Chalice, Order of the

(Fieldless) A chalice azure within and conjoined to an annulet argent estencelly gules.

The branch name was registered in August of 1979.

The order name follows the pattern of [color] + [heraldric charge] found in "Medieval Secular Order Names: Standard Forms of Order Names" by Juliana de Luna (Julia Smith).

From the June 2017 LoAR return of the original submission: "We would change the byname to the Polish Celjczowska, documented during commentary by ffride Joye Sans Fin, but this is a major change that the submitter does not allow."

This badge is returned for conflict with the flag of Finland: Argent, a cross azure. The cross is the primary charge and there is only a single DC for adding the overall charge group.

Sable, between two dragons combatant an arrow inverted Or and on a chief argent three helms azure.

Device was submitted on the 2017-05-08 ILoI (http://oscar.sca.org/kingdom/kingloi.php?kingdom=4&loi=4464), but note was made that submitter's name was not actually in process. Submitter's name was passed on the 11/2017 LoAR (http://heraldry.sca.org/loar/2017/11/17-11lar.html#221).

OSCAR thinks the name is registered as Uilleag Balbhán in June of 2015, via the Middle.

Gules, issuant from base a schnecke argent.

Almaith ingen Chormaic - "Azure, a schnecke issuant from dexter base argent." Registered Apr 2001.

There was some discussion on whether "base" was distinct enough from "dexter base" to warrant a DC based on position of origin of the schnecke. Attached is Almaith's device, for comparison. As you can see, the schnecke spirals in the opposite direction. We are forwarding this to Laurel to ask if a "schnecke reversed" is significant enough to make a DC, since the point of origin is rather obscured when presented on the escutcheon shape.
