O Corrain & Maguire, p.19 sn. Aine, gives <{A/}ine> as the sole form, and states that while it became obsolete as a male name early, "it retained its popularity as a female name." meaning "radiance,

splendor, brilliance." There was an early Leinster Saint Áine.
