William fitz William returned on the October 2005 LoAR with the following comments:

"Conflict with William Rufus, otherwise known as William II, King of England after his father, William the Conquerer. At that time, William fitz William (or more likely Guillaume fiz Guillaume) would be an expected name for this historical sovereign.

His armory has been registered under the holding name William of Delftwood."

William - a masculine name found in "Men's Given Names from Early 13th Century England" by Talan Gwynek (Brian Scott)

fitz William - Reany & Wilson, p. 3429, list one Henry fitz William from the 1300. [ ]
