OSCAR finds the name registered exactly as it appears in November of 2003, via Ealdormere.

Found in Scheibler's Wappenbuch, c.1450, p.177, in the arms of von Herbisshofen or Herbertshofen; and again in the Neustifter Wappenbuch, mid-16th C., plate 53, in the arms of von Koloret.

There are post-period examples in heraldry where the field shows through the center of the torus. There are pre and post period artifacts of this vessel.
