7: Rachel Ashton -Resub Device Change

OSCAR finds the name registered exactly as it appears in December of 1986, via Atenveldt.

Old Item: Or, three irises one and two purpure slipped vert, to be retained as a badge.

The previous iteration of this sub (image 1) was returned on the Jan 2022 LoAR with the following statements:

This device is returned for conflict with the device of Gwen Seis, Or, three willow-herb blossoms purpure. Per long-standing precedent reaffirmed in December 2018, "There is no DC for slipping, leaving the only difference to be gleaned from the type of flower." Meanwhile, these irises -- showing petals to chief as well as to base -- are effectively affronty, but per the March 2020 Cover Letter, discussing difference between flower types, "There is no difference for type between few-petaled flowers affronty". As such, no DCs exist between this device and that of Gwen Seis.

On resubmission, ensure the flowers -- particularly their blossoms -- are large enough to identify by type.

Since then, a PtC from Gwen Seis has been obtained:

I, (mundane name redacted) known in the SCA as Gwen Seis, give (mundane name redacted), known in the SCA as Rachel Ashton permission for her armory "Or, three irises purpure slipped and leaved vert" to look similar to, but not identical to, my armory "Or, three willow-herb blossoms purpure". I understand that this permission cannot be withdrawn once (mundane name redacted)'s armory is registered.
