Submitter originally wanted d'Araignée meaning "The Spider" in Late French; however, commenters noted that in late French, it would actually be 'Araignée" or "l'Araignée." 3: Helga Knébitr Anasdóttir - New Name (KLoI) (NP) & New Device (KLoI)

Purpure, a racoon tricorporate Or marked sable, an orle of thorns Or.

No major changes.
Meaning (Middle Name meaning) most important.

- Helga is as an extremely common feminine given name, as shown in The Old Norse Name, by Geirr Bassi Haraldsson, extracted from Landnamabok. The surviving versions of Landnamabok date from the second half of the 13th century or a little later, though it has been suggested that it was composed in an early form by Ari Thorgilsson (1068-1148).

Knébítr

- Kné meaning knee, and bita meaning to bite. English - Old Norse Dictionary by Ross G. Arthur. Bit meaning biting, sharp. An Icelandic - English Dictionary by Richard Cleasy and Gudbrand Vigfusson.

- Norse practice of creating nicknames to middle names

Anasdottir

- Ana - Feminine given name occurring 20 times in "Spanish Names from the Late 15th Century: Women's Names in Alphabetical Order" by Juliana de Luna. http://heraldry.sca.org/names/isabella/WomensGiven...

- Dottir meaning daughter

- Norse practice of last naming, because of my mother's SCA name is Ana De Granada

No conflicts found by commenters at kingdom level. Please see KLOI for full discussion of this name for commenters were unsure if there was enough documentation for the construction of Knébitr and were also unsure about Anasdóttir as normally 14th CE Spanish and Old Norse could not be combined but may be doable via claiming prior registration to a family member.

4: István Róka - New Name (KLoI) (NP) & New Device (KLoI)

Per bend azure and vert, a bend ermine between a dragon sejant regardant and a fox sejant regardant addorsed argent.

Istvan - Hungarian version of Stephen or Stephan. Dates back at least as far as King Saint Stephen of Hungary (István Király), c. 1030 AD.

Róka - Translates to "fox," byname attested to in historical documentation c. 1418 AD, documentation I used is found here:

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/315653443_Reve...

Commenters at kingdom level were unsure if the surname or given name should go first as Hungarian names have the surname first; however, based on the following precedent, we kept the name as submitted:

This name follows the typical European name order (as Latinized Hungarian does); in vernacular Hungarian names, we'd expect the inverted order, making this Czygan Máté. However, the name is registerable in either order, as to do otherwise would require submitters and kingdoms to be able to consistently identify if elements were vernacular or Latinized. [Máté Czygan, A-02/2013, A-Artemisia]
