Outlands LoP dated 2014-05-14

Outlands College of Heralds

May 13, 2014 From the Office of the Castle Herald

Gauvain Eisenbein

castle@outlandsheralds.org

Unto the Outlands College of Heralds, our respected friends and colleagues who give freely of their time to provide commentary, and all others who come by these letters, on this very early morning of the 13th day of May, A.S. XLIX (2014 CE), does Lord Gauvain Eisenbein send greetings on behalf of Baron Randal Carrick, White Stag Principal Herald.

Here follows the Kingdom of the Outlands' Letter of Presentation for May 2014. With this letter, Outlands submission are now back on schedule.

It would assist Castle Herald greatly in the future if you would e-mail a copy of the documentation summary for name submissions along with the paper copies. It saves having to re-type everything again, and also cuts down on errors. Also, please be sure that you include dates of registration and return for armory for previously registered names and resubmissions of any kind. If Castle can't find where an item was returned, it will very likely be pended until the information is provided or payment is made for a new submission. Likewise, please provide URL's for your citations - it makes every thing better.

Anyone may comment upon the items found herein, and e-mail commentary to the herald's commentary list is encouraged. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome. Please have comments on items contained herein to Rampart Herald by June 17th, 2014, for the decision meeting scheduled for May 18th, 2014. As a reminder, the College of Arms requests commentary on all items, including appeals.

Tetchubah of Greenlake was contacted but was not willing to give permission to conflict.}

Please note that commenting heralds were able to provide beautiful representations that would be able to pass.

Per precedent, this is too high to be a point pointed and too low to be a chevron. 1/2 of the chevron line of devision needs to be above, and 1/2 below the fess line for it to be considered a chevron.

The Rose has one of two problems:

If the rose is fimbriation: Roses are too complicated a charge to be fimbriated. Also, fimbriation has to be significantly thicker.

Since the rose is not fimbriated: A black rose on a green field is color on color and must be returned.

Not a reason to return, but also note:

These are "Winged Lions" not "Lions of Saint Mark." To be a "Lion of Saint Mark" they would need Halos and Books.}
