Previous submission from An Tir KLOI from Tir Righ dated 2022-08-14, was returned for breach of Per SENA A3B1: "Divided fields and charges are considered metals or colors based on the tincture class that dominates across the entire field or charge. If fields or charges are evenly divided into color and metal, they are treated as neutral and have good contrast with both colors and metals. If they are over half color, they are treated as colors and have good contrast with metals. If they are over half metal, they are treated as metals and have good contrast with color. This is not dependent on how much of the charge is made up of any particular tincture or fur."

From Commentary: The field, being 3/4 colour and 1/4 metal, is not neutral; it would be classed as a colour. The identical analysis applies to the bordure. As such, this design doesn't have sufficient contrast between the field and bordure.

Early depictions of dragons had feathered wings.

From Bruce Draconarius, (Many Thanks!)

The earliest heraldic examples of dragons did indeed have feathered wings. (Bear in mind that, until the 16th Century, all heraldic dragons were two-legged - what we'd now blazon as wyverns.) I've attached a couple of early examples: the earliest I have is from the Zurich Roll, c.1340, the arms of Kilchheim. The next is from the Armorial de Gelre, c.1370, the arms of von Drakenfel (Drachenfels).

We start seeing bat-winged dragons in the 15th C, as well as bird-winged dragons, and by the end of period, bat-winged dragons were by far the predominant form.

A Precedent:

Rander Avery of the Mease.

"…Given that wyverns were sometimes emblazoned with feathered wings rather than bat-wings…"
