As announced during court at KA&S (Sept 21, 2013) the Gleann Abhann College of Heralds has been granted by the Laurel Sovereign of Arms an Administrative Rule regarding group submissions. The Rule is: Group Names and Armory (Devices and Badges) must be accompanied by a petition showing the support of the populace. It must identify the name and/or armory being submitted. It must be signed by the Seneschal and either three-fourths of the officers or a majority of the populace. Consult with the Diamond Principal Herald if you have questions about the procedure. The "big" changes the Gleann Abhann College of Heralds is making are: • We are changing "Devices" to "Armory (Devices and Badges)" in the first sentence. • We are changing "device" to "armory" in the second sentence. This means if your local group wishes to register a name, device, or badge, your local group must include a petition/letter of support. You need to state the purpose of the Badge (Populace? Local guild? Local award? Etc.). In a Barony, the Baron/Baroness need to sign in addition to Baronial Seneschal and other local officers and populace members. In a Shire, the Local Seneschal and other local officers and populace members must sign the petition/letter of support. This Administrative Rule does not affect Individual submissions (your personal name, personal device, and personal badge). The College of Arms for the Society is working towards the goal of complete online/electronic submissions of names and armory at the Society-Level. A Step has been taken in this goal. At this time the number of copies of submissions being sent to the Ruby Herald is being reduced. For NAME submissions send ONE copy of the submission form and documentation to the Ruby Herald (stop sending TWO copies). For ARMORY submissions (Devices and Badges) send TWO Color copies and ONE Line Drawing to the Ruby Herald (stop sending THREE Color copies and TWO Line Drawings). Send one copy of any necessary documentation.

Emma del Trees, former Amethyst Herald, became received a County and became a member of the Order of the Rose at the end of her reign as Queen, October 5, 2013 at Gleann Abhann Fall Coronation.

Baroness Emma del Trees, Amethyst Herald (award regalia), became the new Princess of Gleann Abhann at the conclusion of Fall Crown List tournament November 10, 2012, in which Count Jon the Tall was the victor.
