4: Fiametta da Trastevere - Resub Device

OSCAR finds the name registered exactly as it appears in March of 2016, via Artemisia.

Gules, on a flame Or a heart gules, flaunches Or

The original iteration of this device (image 1) was returned on the March 2016 LoAR via Artemisia with the following comments:

This device is returned for conflict with the badge of Angus le Todde Mac Donnell: (Fieldless) A heart Or. There is only one DC for the fielded versus fieldless design. By precedent, enflaming a charge does not count for difference.
The current iteration is a redesign.

Middle English Dictionary s.n. griffǒun (n.(2))

http://quod.lib.umich.edu/cgi/m/mec/med-idx?type=id&id=MED19456

(a) The fabulous griffin; (b) a representation of the griffin in heraldry, embroidery, ornamentation, etc.; also, the name of a secret seal; (c) a vulture; ?also, some kind of falcon [often difficult to distinguis from (a)]; (d) as personal name;

These two should support the submitted spelling as a variant:

(a) (c1385) Chaucer CT.Kn.(Manly-Rickert) A.2133: Lyk a griffoun [vrr. griphon, grefoun] loked he aboute.

(c) (a1382) WBible(1) (Bod 959) Lev.11.13: Thes ben that ȝe shulen not eete of bryddes..an egle & a griffyn [WB(2): grippe; L gryphem] and a merlyon.

6: Lawrence Bacon - Resub Device

OSCAR finds the name registered exactly as it appears in August of 2011, via Artemisia.

Gules, a boar rampant argent within a bordure parted bordurewise embattled sable and argent

The original iteration of this device (image 1) was returned on the Aug 2011 LoAR via Artemisia with the following comments:

This device is returned for conflict with the badge of Simon de Spaldyng, reblazoned elsewhere on this letter as Azure, a boar rampant argent maintaining and playing a two-droned bagpipe sable. There is only one CD for the change of field tincture.

The low-contrast embattled line of division is still quite identifiable despite the charge crossing it, and thus is not a problem in itself in this case.

The second iteration of this device (image 2) was returned on the Dec 2016 LoAR via Artemisia with the following comments:
This device is returned for conflict with the badge of Simon de Spaldyng, Azure, a boar rampant argent maintaining and playing a two-droned bagpipe sable. When, in August 2015, we changed precedent so that both maintained and sustained charges could produce a DC, that was under the condition for these charges to be identifiable, and thus to have good contrast with their background. Simon's bagpipe is sable on an azure field and thus lacks contrast. In consequence, it cannot provide the necessary second DC.
The current iteration of this device is a redesign.
