Finch is an English surname found at Family Search - "England Deaths and Burials, 1538-1991", database, FamilySearch ( : 13 April 2023), William Finch, 1614, Indexing Batch B02840-3 and also at in English Sign Names From 17th Century Tradesman's Tokens by Mari ingen Briain meic Donnchada (Kathleen M. O'Brien).

Per SENA Appendix A/English/Welsh ( Notes: Surnames from the second half of the 16th C and early 17th C may be used as given names; they are treated as any other 16th C given name [Alton of Grimfells, 04/2010, A-East].

Featherstone - English surname found in _Surnames in Durham and Northumberland, 1521-1615_ by Julie Kahan. Featherstone at Chester-le-Street in 1598, and Heighington in 1614.
