Atlantia LoP dated 2018-02-18

Unto Cian Triton, Beatrice Golden Dolphin, and the Atlantian College of Heralds does Catherine Ibis send warm greetings! Commentary for this letter will close March 14th, 2018.

1: Edwin Munro -New Device

OSCAR finds the name registered exactly as it appears in September of 2005, via Atlantia.

Consulting Herald: Þórhild Róðmarsdòttir

2: Emma West -Resub Badge

OSCAR finds the name registered exactly as it appears in November of 2007, via Atlantia.

Fieldless, three oak leaves in pall inverted Or, overall the letter E vert

Attached is a period example of the capital letter "E".

Consulting Herald: Ragnar Leifsson, Red Shark

Submission History:

This is a resubmission after the November 2017 Kingdom Return of "Fieldless, three oak leaves in pall inverted Or, overall the letter E vert":

This badge is returned because, by precedent, "We require letters, when used as charges, to be drawn in a medieval hand."(from the June 2011 return of Énán Mac Cormaicc's device submission, via Atenveldt) No evidence was presented that the letter E as drawn was in a period hand, nor were commenters able to find sufficent evidence of such during commentary. Additionally, the submitter should be aware that as drawn the E is barely overall, and should ideally be drawn a bit bigger on resubmitting, to increase likelihood of successful registration.

The above submission has images. To view them, see the URLs below:

3: Jón Bjarnarson -Resub Device

OSCAR finds the name registered exactly as it appears in March of 2015, via Atlantia.

Per chevron argent and azure, three sheaves of arrows vert and a bear's head caboshed argent

Consulting Herald: Etienne Sea Stag

Submission History:

This is a resubmission after the March 2017 Laurel return of "Argent semy of arrows bendwise inverted vert, a bear sejant erect guardant sable maintaining a cauldron vert.":

This device is returned for a redraw. Commentators found identifying the primary charge difficult, given the overlap with the arrows and the cauldron. The submitter is encouraged to draw fewer arrows, and to more clearly separate the cauldron from the body of the bear, preferably by extending the arms to dexter; please note that this will cause the claws to point to dexter, rather than towards the viewer.
