These are the items which have passed kingdom scrutiny since Artemisia's latest LoI dated 2017-09-29. As always, those items upon which Golden Pillar consulted were decided upon by Golden Wing. Enjoy.

1: Æylwin de Spencer - New Name Change

OSCAR NOTE: the old name was registered in May of 1998, via the Middle.

Old Item: Aylwin Thoraldson, to be released.
Submitter desires a masculine name.

Submitters documentation:

Changing spelling of Aylwin to Æylwin. Æylwin is a noted form of the name Albert (Albert, Aedelbert, Egbert, Æylwin) - source The Oxford Dictionary of English Christian Names - by Elizabeth Gidley Withycombe. Æ is a long established Tutonic letter combination for the "Ay" sounds. ie. Ædan, Ælred, Æric, Æthelred, Æthelbert, etc.

Changing Thoraldson to de Spencer due to marriage to Amanda de Spencer. Social tradition is that you took the last name is the "more influential family." Legal last name is Spencer-Wise in addition to using the historical use of the last name.

Attestation letter included reads:

I, [redacted], known in the society as Amanda de Spencer do attest that, [redacted], otherwise known as Aylwin Thoraldson - seeking to change his name to Æylwin de Spencer- is my Husband. We were married May 10th 2006.

Signed this 15th day of 2017,

[redacted]

We find the name:

Aylwin Thoraldson was registered in May of 1998 (via the Middle)

If the preferred spelling Æylwin de Spencer is unusable the submitter has provided an alternate from with the spelling Aylwin de Spencer.

Correction to Name (2017-Nov-13 08:11:19): The submitter has changed his preferred spelling of his given name to Ælwynn in an email to Pelican and myself. The email was dated Mon, Nov 13, 2017 at 6:34 AM.
