Unto the Sovereigns and members of the College of Arms of the Society, does Khalidah bint Yahya'a, Rampart Herald send her greetings.

What follows is the August 2017 Letter of Intent for the Kingdom of the Outlands.

I would like to thank Green Anchor & The NE Calontir Commenting Group, Michael Gerard Curtememoire, Adelaide de Beaumont, and all of the heralds who were kind enough to contribute to internal commentary on OSCAR.

It is my intent to register this August the following items from the Outlands' College of Heralds.

1: Aldrich de Rolfe - New Name

[Aldrich] - R&W s.nn. Aldrich (etc.): Aldrich 1220. Called "a given name citation" at http://www.panix.com/~gabriel/public-bin/showfinal.cgi/2676.txt.

[Rolfe] - Bardsley (1988 printing), p. 652. <de Rolfe> is intended as a marked patronymic per SENA Appendix A, English.


2: Bjorn the Bastard - New Device

OSCAR finds the name registered exactly as it appears in March of 2016, via the Outlands.

Argent, a bend gules, overall a single-winged pithon volant bendwise sinister sable

3: Curran Leonart - New Name & New Device

Per bend sinister azure and Or, a lion contourny and a triquetra counterchanged

Submitter desires a masculine name.
Sound most important.

Both names can be documented as late-period English surnames, and the surname-as-given-name allowance will get him there.
