Artemisia, Kingdom of: This branch-name was registered in June of 1998 (via Artemisia). http://oanda.sca.org/oanda_name.cgi?p=Artemisia%2c%20Kingdom%20of

ʿȝ=f-n-mw.t - Male Egyptian name recorded in Papyrus Eheverträge 1. This papyrus was written in hieratic script in 879 BC.

Several transliteration schemes exist for ancient Egyptian. If this submission must be in Roman letters, then my first choice is the "traditional" method which can be found in columns 3 and 4 of the uniliteral sign grid found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transliteration_of_Ancient_Egyptian#Uniliteral_signs This method renders the name as Aa=f-n-mw.t.

If vowels must be added and internal punctuation removed, I prefer the method taught to me by an Egyptology student, Timothy Crowe. Basically, it's put an "i" where there are angled slashes (which are sometimes rendered as an equal sign), put an "e" where there are periods, put an "e" everywhere else that a vowel is necessary, and ignore all places where vowels are unnecessary. This renders the name as Aaifenemwet.

If the the "traditional" method is unacceptable, I would be happy to accept any of the following alternate transliteration schemes:

Erman & Grapow (1926-1953)

Gardiner (1957)

Manual de Codage

Schenkel (1991)

Hannig (1995)

Hoch (1997)

Allen (2000)

Schneider (2003)

Trismegistos (2004-current)

If an alternate transliteration scheme needs to be used I prefer that the most current acceptable method be used; i.e. Trismegistos - second choice, Schneider - third choice, and so on. The Trismegistos transliteration is Aa-f-n-mout (the one used in the name citation above). The others can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transliteration_of_Ancient_Egyptian#Table_of_conventional_transliterat ion_schemes

Golden Wing considers hieratic Egyptian to be above his pay grade and has authorized Golden Pillar to send this up.
