11: Ysopete Mah - New Name

Documentation cleaned up by Liber:

(Thank you, Liber! Kingdom struggled to make sense of the original documentation provided on the ILoI.)

<Ysopete> was one of the two Native Americans (from the Pecos Pueblo outside modern-day Pecos, NM) that the Coronado expedition (forcibly) used as guides. The name itself can be seen in Relación de la jornada de Cibola : donde se trata de aquellos poblados y ritos y costumbres, la quel fué el año de 1540, compuesta por Pedro de Castañeda de Nágera, dated 1596, on page 178 of the digital version via the New York Public Library Archives & Manuscripts department: http://archives.nypl.org/mss/257063

<Ysopete>, rather than being a native name rendered in Spanish orthography, appears to be a name given to him by the Spanish -- the name is taken from a medieval collection called Ysopete ystoriado, referenced as early as the 14th Century in Spanish, and likely a translation of Marie de France's Ysopet, itself a translation of Aesop and other fables. (https://www.britannica.com/art/Ysopet) I can't find any evidence that the name entered common usage, but my resources there are somewhat limited. It seems more likely that the name was given due to, perhaps, a penchant for telling stories (such as the mythology of his people).

<Mah> appears in the article cited (linked here: http://medievalscotland.org/kmo/Cozumel/surnames.shtml#alphabetically), having been found 17 times in the 1570 census of Cozumel (11 masculine surnames, 6 feminine).
