Greetings unto Edward Dragon, Konrad Rouge Scarpe, and the commenting Heralds of the Middle Kingdom!

Enclosed are the submissions received between July 1 and July 20, 2015. Anything received after July 20, 2015 will be added to one of the several letters being posted after pennsic.

I know this is a busy time of year for submissions, and I want to thank all of you again for your comments, your patience, and your continued efforts on behalf of our clients.

Commentary on this letter will close August 29, 2015.

1: Arinbjorn Ragnarsson -Resub Device

OSCAR finds the name registered exactly as it appears in January of 1997, via the Middle

Per pale sable and argent, a phoenix argent from flames proper and on a chief argent three cogwheels vert.

Escutcheon Note: The submitter provided a blazon which notes that the field is sable and argent, however the submitted color form shows sable and vert.

Original submission returned by Laurel in 1997. This submission is a complete re-design.


2: Azemars Martel -New Device

OSCAR finds the name registered exactly as it appears in December of 2005, via Artemisia

Azure, a maunch argent and on a chief argent three fleurs-de-lys azure.


3: Edgar Bowman -New Name & New Device

Argent a chevron rompu gules between 3 sheaves of arrows sable.

Language (English) most important.
Culture (Late 14th - mid 15th cnetury england) most important.

Edgar - Withycombe, pg92. "Edgar The Grand son of Alfred was one of the most successful kings of that house; his name became a favourite among the English and survived the Norman Conquest. It was used, though infrequently, until about the end of the 13th c."

Bowman - Reaney and Wilson, pgs 58,59. "Bowman: Nicholas the Boweman, the Bouman 1286-87... a bowman, a fighting man armed with a bow."

Coscombe- The surname "Coscombe", sometimes "Coscomb", English, 14th century.

Patent Rolls of Richard II, volume IV, 1388-1392, shows <William Coscombe of Exeter> - May 18 1389.
